POSITION OVERVIEW 
 
The Zen Zone Attendant (ZZA)  is a key member of the Student Success team and is primarily responsible for ensuring all students and visitors to IGNITE ZZ and service delivery locations are assisted with great care. With the support of Well-Being Assistant (WBA), the incumbent will deliver and monitor IGNITE sleep lounge and perform other administrative duties. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Inform students of the operation of the IGNITE ZZ and other IGNITE services 
  • Monitor and oversee our ZZ and IGNITE spaces 
  • Be present for programing, tours and events held in the ZZ 
  • Answer questions regarding IGNITE services, events, and policies 
  • Answer and direct students to IGNITE resources 
  • Receive and ask students to sign-in to the ZZ using the applicable systems and processes 
  • Provide administrative support to the Student Success Team as needed. 
  • Support events and operations related to Ignite, e.g. Soup Bar 
  • Clean, organize and stock the ZZ 
  • Being trained as both ZZA and Sleep Lounge Attendant  
  • Being flexible in covering absences in the Sleep Lounge.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills 
  • Superb ability to manage time and stay organized 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team  
 
QUALIFICATIONS 
 
  • Must either be a current Humber ITAL or the University of Guelph-Humber fee paying student at the time of application 
  • Previous customer service experience an asset 
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
