POSITION OVERVIEW
The Brand Ambassador Assistant (BAA) is responsible for providing event management and promotional support for all IGNITE initiatives, products, and services. The BAA also supervises the part-time staff team of Brand Ambassadors and is responsible for the smooth operation of Engagement Team initiatives. This is a highly situational position that requires a great deal of flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to
- Act as a project leader during semester start-up activities and at large scale events, activations and promotions throughout the year
- Scheduling and delegation of tasks to the part-time staff team of Brand Ambassadors
- Set up, operation, and teardown of IGNITE events including assembly/disassembly, public speaking, clean up, decorating and signage
- Provide support for promotion/advertising campaigns and supervise Brand Ambassadors team to ensure all promotions are carried out in a timely and effective manner
- Promote IGNITE events, services and programs within the Humber College and University of Guelph-Humber community
- Administer monthly polls and surveys regarding IGNITE services, events and promotions; tracking and documenting results/actions
- Encourage student involvement and increase awareness in all IGNITE initiatives through brainstorming and implementing new ideas
- Assist IGNITE clubs in room bookings and provide general information
- Assist with posting request administration
- Assist in the maintenance and management of the IGNITE Student Centre
- Manage Events and Promotions Office and perform administrative duties

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must either be a full-time student of either Humber ITAL or the University of Guelph-Humber
- Previous Brand Ambassador experience required (1 year minimum)
- Occasional evening and/or weekend availability
- Proficient in the use of MS Office
